I hope I didn’t miss another posting about this – I have the latest Dex 3 RE (paid, not trial) and am attempting to use it with a Denon DN-HC4500 and getting the sound from Deck B on the same external mixer channel (fader) as Deck A. In the Audio Routing Tab, I have the HC4500 selected and Output Routing Deck A = 1 + 2 and Deck B = 3 + 4 and Headphones as None because I use my external mixer for previewing as I did previously with PCDJ Red Mobile #7296. I have always used Red Mobile where Deck A played from Channel 1 and Deck B from Channel 2 on my mixer.

I am on Windows 10 (64) and exceed the recommended specs for the software. I am not sure if there’s an issue with the Denon Asio Driver itself because when I look at the Properties under Playback Devices on my computer, it looks like it’s running on a Microsoft Driver vs.

  2. Posts about Denon ASIO Driver written by DJ ProMixer. HOW TO SET UP? The system must recognize your Denon DN-MC2000 as Audio and MIDI device before configuring in.

The Denon Asio. Any ideas on changing settings? Denon DJ doesn’t have a 64 bit version of the ASIO drivers for the HC4500 (it was discontinued from their lineup awhile ago). Thus, if you want to use it with DEX 3 RE, you will need to un-install the 64bit version of DEX 3 RE and install the 32bit release instead. If you haven’t already as well, you need to go to Denon DJs website and install the latest ASIO drivers for the Hc4500.

My other concern here is if they have suitable Windows 10 drivers AT ALL for the HC4500 – so you’ll have to check this on Denon DJ’s website. Configuration under the Audio Routing tab in DEX 3 RE should then be: Select audio device: Denon DJ ASIO driver Deck A: 1/2 Deck B: 3/4 Headphones: NONE Additional preview device also on NONE/NO AUDIO. Then put a tick in the box for ‘disable crossfader and volume control: External mixer mode’ Let us know how it goes! Nothing like a Friday morning dance party in the loft with a cup of coffee!

It worked!!!! With the 64-bit version, the Denon ASIO driver selection wasn’t even displaying in the Audio Routing drop-down – with the 32-bit, it did. So happy to have done the upgrade – you guys did a great job on the UI/UX design of the software and I know it’s gotta be tough to test and configure the vast array of controllers, OS, hardware etc.

Thanks for your assistance – I’m only sorry that I didn’t reach out sooner as it would have save me a lot of time.
